Suicide about 23

Buddhist Perspective of Suicide

The first precept in Buddhism is to abstain from harming living things - including oneself. As well as caring for others, Buddhism is about preserving a healthy body and a positive mind for oneself.

Suicide therefore, is regarded as morally wrong, and Buddhists believe it will result in negative karmic consequences.

Seeking an end to suffering by committing suicide, from a Buddhist perspective, only makes things worse and will lead to a worse state of suffering.
